- people with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Enrolment is subject to the person being able to undertake all tasks and requirements of the course.
- a Working with Vulnerable People Checks, national Police Check and First Aid to participate in work-placement.

Outline
The course is ideal for individuals who want to work in the community services industry, delivering support and care for individuals who live with disability. You will learn crucial skills, such as how to effectively support people living with disability, how to maintain an environment to empower them, how to facilitate their skills development, community participation, and provide behaviour support in the context of individualised plans. These skills will help graduates to not only fulfil disability support worker duties but improve their chances of employment in disability services.
