Entry requirements
  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Preferred age 18 years of age and above
  • People with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Enrolment is subject to the person being able to undertake all tasks and requirements of the course.
  • Working with Vulnerable People Checks, national Police Check and First Aid to participate in work-placement.

Outline

This nationally recognised course is ideal if you are looking to develop your career in the highly rewarding aged and community care industry. Ageing support workers provide a range of support services to people who require specialised assistance, based on individual needs to improve their quality of life. After successfully completing this course, you will have the skills and knowledge required to work and take responsibility for your own work and some limited responsibility for the outputs of others working in a wide range of support roles.
